Description:Are you a pro at installing complex applications and web services? Consider taking the next step in your career at Assurant.

The Sr. Tools Analyst will be in charge of installing applications and integrating them with web services for enterprise use. They will also assist in the Architecture planning, and also upgrade of existing applications, as well as facilitate day to day operations. All of the functions consist of complex hardware and software configurations and interact regularly with other functions (Network, Infrastructure, Procurement, Helpdesks, applications, finance, etc).

Install, integrate, maintain, upgrade 31+ imaging, workflow, document management and reporting tools (File Net, Business Objects, Cognos, SAS, etc.)
Deliver highly available system so customers can concentrate on delivering business requests.
Provide consultation to Operations, Database administration and IT Business Applications
Provide leadership and direction around Planning, Implementation and Support of shared infrastructure tools and applications utilized across both IT and the businesses.
Provide input on recommendations for the purchase of supporting enterprise tools and shared applications.
Provides tactical and strategic input that balance business need, industry best practices, cost, and alignment with corporate direction for the various disciplines.
Oversee small to medium project requests and assignments, as well as deliverables.
Work closely with various areas on solutions and requirements to deliver sound tools.
Ensure applications and systems are maintained, secure and current.
Develops, establishes and maintains positive relationships with Assurant managers, peers, and business unit customers.
Help develop Disaster Recovery plans.
Track capacity and assist in performance testing.
Limited travel – 10%
Experience:REQUIREMENTS:
Completion of Bachelor’s degree in MIS, CS, or Technical Certification
Minimum of 5+ years of related hardware/software and system technologies
Siebel
Web Services
Windows, Suse Linux, and HP UNIX
LDAP + Site Minder Knowledge
Experience with managing complex technology platforms and initiatives
Broad knowledge of web applications and infrastructure, along with security
Strong knowledge of distributed systems
Helpful to have knowledge of Customer Relationship Management applications
Helpful to have GRID (expandable processing capability) experience.
Ability to lead geographically disbursed resources and systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
