Due to phenomenal growth and demand for products and services, our client has an immediate need for an experienced Data Warehouse Architect/Project Manager to join a team of talented and energetic technology professionals who are dedicated to delivering enterprise-level data management services. The qualified candidate will contribute to our client’s success by providing technical leadership and expertise in the design and development of data warehouse solutions. The position is located in Houston or Dallas, Texas.
As a Data Warehouse Architect/Project Manager, you will:
• Lead, manage and direct data warehouse project life cycle efforts and ensure delivered solutions meet the identified customer needs
• Work with both business and technical groups to gather, manage and document system requirements for data warehouse and data mart projects
• Indentify appropriate information layers of the solution and create and/or lead modeling efforts; identify and design the data integration strategy and architecture
• Identify the appropriate BI tools required to meet project requirements and user information delivery needs
• Participate in customer-facing activities pertaining to data warehouse business case development, strategy, planning and proposal generation
Requirements and skills needed:
• Degree in Computer Science or other technical discipline
• Proven track record of leading all phases in the technical delivery of data warehouse solutions
• Experience with multiple data modeling techniques (traditional ER, dimensional modeling, denormalization)
• Working knowledge of ETL or EII tools, BI tools capabilities and Master Data Management techniques
• Strong written and verbal communication skills along with project management and presentation expertise
