nberman@thesportsauthority.com | | Description | : | PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Determines and manages infrastructure standards in the areas of network and communications Responsible for ensuring adequate system capacity through capacity planning and trend analysis. Responsible for managing the design, procurement, installation, and administration of voice and data communication networks – including hardware, software and services. Responsible for determining and analyzing future system requirements Manages and implements effective programs and strategies to ensure availability of all networks, servers and telecommunications systems service levels for Servers, Operating system and communications availability Continuity planning and delivery for Disaster Recovery Manages and maintains Infrastructure Security relating to supported platforms Manages relationships with key technology vendors. Develops budgets and operates areas of responsibility within budget. Prepares and administers the Network and telecommunications budget for operations, maintenance, and capital improvement programs/projects Management of subordinate tasks and duties Manage feasibility studies of new products Sets and communicates clear department goals and objectives with entire subordinate team holding each Associate accountable to individual expectations Establishes operational objectives and work plans, and delegates assignments to Associates Provides guidance and manages the day-to-day development of each Associate including effective on-boarding and on the job training Participates and completes the performance management and the individual development planning process annually including a mid year review Provides ongoing coaching and feedback to associates throughout the performance management cycle Communicates and documents opportunities for development with specific examples and action items Establishes and ensure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans and performance requirements Identifies department’s skill gaps and staffing needs Responsible for the hiring and firing of associates Partner with HR Manager to develop job descriptions for new positions Participates in the screening and interview process as well as the negotiation and closing of offers

| Experience | : | PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Degree in technical discipline or equivalent work experience Seven (7) years progressively responsible experience in network administration and management Demonstrated experience managing large, complex networking and telecommunications projects Experience in network topologies and protocols, network operating systems Experience in file server hardware construction and maintenance and telecommunications Knowledge of Cisco routers Expert knowledge in firewall, router and switch construction, configuration and operation Knowledge in Active Directory structure, configuration and administration Ability to solve a wide range of highly complex, multi-disciplinary problems Ability to compose major reports, policy and procedure manuals, proposals and presentations Ability to deliver informational speeches, reports and orientations before audiences and groups that include internal and external customers Ability to improve existing systems and procedures which periodically result in new ideas or approaches of considerable significance. Ability to manage technical staff Must be comfortable with customer (end-user) support in a 24x7 production environment
