| Contact | : | mrd@mr-oa.com | | Description | : | We are currently seeking a Programmer Analyst with basic knowledge of Hyperion Essbase System 9 and overall business savvy in our Parsippany, New Jersey office. In this position you will work on a team of Analysts who are responsible for the operation and maintenance of our Business Intelligence applications with a primary responsibility of planning and reports development within Essbase System 9.
Primary Responsibilities: • Create data objects for reporting areas. • Perform testing and tuning activities, including strategies around aggregates, indexes and partitions. • Create and execute data extracts; create objects and mappings from external systems to Essbase. • Create custom developed validation rules and generic extracts as needed to support the level of customization needed in Essbase cubes. • Build scripts to load the data; monitor daily production loads. • Fixed failed loads, full and delta. Develop and implement process improvements. o Create reports and queries as needed.
Key Requirements: • Hyperion certification a must; Bachelor's degree a plus. • 1-2 years experience developing/supporting Hyperion planning applications, including Essbase using one or more of the following BI tools: Hyperion Analyzer 7.2.1 Hyperion Reports 7.2 Hyperion Essbase/EIS 7.3 Hyperion Performance Suite • Hyperion System 9 experience a plus. • Experience creating OLAP cubes using Hyperion Essbase, both ASO and BSO. • Experience writing MaxL scripts, T-SQL, PL-SQL skills required. • Experience creating reports through Hyperion Reports and/or Analyzer or equivalent Hyperion application (if within System 9 BI+) • Experience using Hyperion Application Link (HAL) • Strong understanding of Data Modeling concepts is a plus. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong customer focus and a sense of urgency.
