Evaluates, recommends, and implements automated test tools and strategies. Develops, maintains, and upgrades automated test scripts and architectures for application products using IBM Rational Functional and Performance Tester. Also writes, implements, and reports status for system test cases for testing. Analyzes test cases and provides regular progress reports. A bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area is required. Applicant should be familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the field of quality assurance. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
The candidate will need strong written and verbal skills and should be able to express him or herself to technical development staff (internal and external). The candidate should also have excellent facilitation and requirements gathering skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for the creation and execution of functional scripts for all applications supported by the Web Portal Team
2. Responsible for the creation and execution of performance scripts for all applications supported by the Web Portal Team
3. Responsible for the creation and execution of performance scripts utilized for capacity testing of the Portal environment
4. Responsible for the creation and execution of performance scripts utilized for the performance testing of the Portal environment
5. Responsible for the monitoring and analysis of performance monitoring tools results during and after performance testing
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. 3+ years hands-on experience with IBM Rational Functional Tester 6.x/7.x - REQUIRED
2. 3+ years hands-on experience with IBM Performance Tester 6.x/7.x - REQUIRED
3. 3+ years hands-on experience with Web Portal technology (WebSphere Application Server 5.X) and 2+ years with J2EE Portal technologies (WebSphere Portal 5.X /6.X) in a clustered environment (WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment) – PREFERRED
4. 5+ years experience delivering web-based applications and services with emphasis in web site and portal technologies. Experienced in IT System Life Cycles – REQUIRED
5. 1+ year in the use of XMLAccess in the deployment of WebSphere Portal Server components - REQUIRED
6. 2+ years experience in planning development for a function, and executing and delivering against the plan – REQUIRED
7. 1+ years Java and J2EE development experience - PREFERRED
8. Experience working with Computer Associates Wily Introscope web application performance management tool - REQUIRED
9. 2+ years experience in a global, shared services IT environment – REQUIRED
10. Excellent Written and Verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with business and technical IT management – REQUIRED
11. Strong Analytical and problem solving abilities – REQUIRED
12. General experience with business applications in the areas of manufacturing and project management – PREFERRED
13. Bachelor’s Degree. (Computer Science preferred) - PREFERRED
