| | Description | : | As a Java Portal developer, you will analyze user requirements to build a self-service customer portal while also writing flow charts, project specifications, and J2EE code. You will be a key player in bringing new and existing customized functionalities for agility and ease of use.
Duties/Responsibilities
• Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing and improve existing content management systems
• Confer with personnel of business units to analyze operations procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements such as forms of data input, how data is to be summarized, and formats for reports
• Write detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop and modify Vignette applications
• Review Vignette Portal capabilities, work flow, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested enhancements are possible within our existing system
• Study existing content-management applications to evaluate effectiveness
• Develop new portlets to improve production and work flow as required
• Prepare use-case diagrams to specify in detail operations to be performed by applications and users
• Upgrade systems and correct errors to maintain systems after implementation
• Function as a software engineer in the development of flow charts, project specifications, and J2EE code
Candidates from FL are preferred |
| Experience | : | • 3+ years experience developing and deploying application portals with Java
• 3+ years experience in J2EE systems design, development, and testing
• 1+ years experience managing project assignments
• Demonstrated design ability
Major Pluses to have
• Domain experience in the Health Care industry
• Experience with Vignette
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
