Database Developer who will contribute to our growth and market leadership and will help bring best practices to our database and application development practice.
The database developer will work on the Database Team. This team’s responsibilities include the design, architecture, development, documentation, maintenance, capacity planning and support of our database systems in a 24 x 7 Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) production environment. Our production systems are considered mission critical applications by our customers and maintaining performance and reliability of the database sub-systems is a core element of this role. This includes the implementation and maintenance of High Availability and data integrity solutions for production databases along with maintaining knowledge sharing and on-call capacity for problem resolution.

| Experience | : | The technology background for qualified candidates must include more than three (3) years of specific experience in database development including a majority of the following:
Required: Software development using commercial RDBMS such as: IBM DB2 UDB, Oracle, Sybase
Required: Extensive SQL development using languages such as SPL, PL/SQL, T/SQL, etc.
Required: Experience with reporting systems such as Crystal Decisions, Cognos
Preferred: Experience with Linux, AIX or Unix.
Relational database architecture, design and data models
Development of large scale Web-applications with database back-end
ETL and Data warehousing
XML, XSLT
Java / J2EE Web Applications
Persistence frameworks.
Qualified candidates will have demonstrable experience in database design, development, process flow analysis, replication and/or clustering. Qualified candidates will have at least five (5) years of total professional experience and hold a Bachelors degree in a computer science / mathematics or related field. A Masters degree is a plus.
