We are currently seeking a Senior Developer to join us in our Montvale office.
Responsibilities:
• Provide design, development, implementation, and support of software applications to support business initiatives for internal customers in US Risk Management
• Work with the technical leads, business analysts, and project managers to translate design into product, including programming, testing, and implementation tasks
• Perform some application design (e.g. subcomponents of larger application architecture designed by Technical Lead)
• Troubleshoot technical issues in a third tier support role
• Prepare and maintain related technical documentation
• Maintain strong relationships with internal customers
• Implement design using firm standards
Qualifications:
• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience
• Four years as a senior developer responsible for the development of business applications using Object-Oriented methodologies and tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to successfully develop systems for implementation at the direction of a technical lead
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
• Strong experience as a senior application developer on successful midsize to large application development projects from requirements through implementation
• Hands-on experience translating Use Cases, Class and Sequence Diagrams, and UML notation into code
• Hands-on development experience with Microsoft .NET IDE, ASP.NET, C# (or VB.NET), XSL/XSLT, Crystal reporting, SQL Server, or alternately, hands-on development experience with similar web-based object-oriented environment (e.g. Websphere/Java)
• Experience with integrating third party products
• Experience with application implementation and support procedures
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle methodologies such as RUP or CMM
• Familiarity with designing and implementing multi-lingual applications
