We are currently seeking a Senior Developer to join us in our Montvale office.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work on a team chartered with providing enterprise portal solutions and platforms
Provide technical skills in order to implement planned initiatives; constantly improve the portal by making the integration more seamless, repeatable, and efficient
Work closely with the application design team, the Global Identity Management team, and application groups to continuously improve the product suite and process
Adapt to the evolving use of technologies and tools
Report to the technical manager responsible for the portal
Create design patterns and technical specifications for portal environments
Analyze and solve complex integration problems, including modeling and simulation of solutions, to discover and improve performance metrics
Design, develop and deploy solutions using Sharepoint Server 2003/CMS 2002 and later.
Provide subject matter knowledge on Sharepoint Server/CMS 2003; guide other developers on best use of portal solutions and Sharepoint Server 2003.
Recommend standards for portal solutions
Establish strong relationships with project stakeholders; identify opportunities for improved integration capabilities and reusable components and services
Interact with highly skilled, as well as non-technical stakeholders
Continually acquire knowledge in emerging technologies
Understand business goals and constraints and how they impact software design goals
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
Five years of software engineering experience
Experience with OO Languages such as C#, VB.Net, C++ or Java
Well versed in programming data structures and algorithms
Previous use of software design patterns
Experience with Microsoft portal product Sharepoint
A foundation of solid software engineering skills (server side)
Object Oriented Analysis and Design experience
Design methodologies and modeling languages including: UML, ER modeling, process modeling (DFDs, BPEL4WS)
Experience with presenting and advocating for design solutions
Experience with Microsoft Sharepoint 2003 Server Object Model and/or CMS
Able to understand Network Architecture Components and Windows Operating System
Experience with technologies supporting Web Services: XML, Soap, WSDL, UDDI etc
Experience with .Net Framework and Tools: ASP.Net, C#, VB.NET
Experience with designing open architectures: Web Services, Just In Time Integration, Discovery Mechanisms, Networked Services
Experience with Distributed Object Technology, RPC
