Description	:	POSITION PURPOSE The Network Administrator is responsible for planning, configuration, implementation and monitoring of all Network related services within the enterprise to meet business requirements. Designs and implements network architectures, including LAN and WAN internetworking, carrier connectivity and IP telephony. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES  Design, administer, support and optimize network components  Evaluate, select, purchase, and deploy 3rd party hardware and software  Deployment and support of network monitoring and management utilities  Assist in migration from TDM to VOIP infrastructure  Support, develop and enforce security controls and policies  Document and track network assets and configurations  Budget responsibility
Experience	:	PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS  Bachelors degree or certification or equivalent relevant experience.  5 plus years experience in Network administration  Experience with Cisco Switches, routers and firewalls  CCNA Certification preferred.  Demonstrated knowledge of key networking protocols including TCP/IP, OSPF, SNMP, DNS, BGP, IGRP  Understanding of networks, topologies, hardware, software and advanced technologies.  Knowledge of physical, system, network and data security procedures and tools, including SSL, SSH, PGP, VPN*s, intrusion detection  Experience with telephony concepts, circuits, switching and interface hardware  Ability to solve a variety of complex problems in the absence of technical guidance or precedents.  Ability to compose moderately complex documentation of a routine nature.  Ability to discuss detailed information with vendors or internal customers.  Ability to be involved in projects or situations that result in new ideas of moderate impact.  Ability to lift 50 lbs.  Ability to read and interpret complex color codes and printed instructions.  Responsible for other duties as assigned or developed.
